The curriculum at Monnarich Primary School is planned to implement all the Foundation Stage and National Curriculum subjects, so in every class children are entitled to complete work in English, Maths, Science, and Social Studies, known as Core Subjects – together with RE, known as Foundation Subjects.

In addition, the following cross-curricular areas form an integral part of the curriculum we offer: Games and Sports, Multi-Cultural Education and Music dance and Drama.

Within the National Curriculum, programmes of study set out what is to be taught in each Core and Foundation Subject. Attainment targets for each subject describe what a child is expected to know and be able to do. There are School Assessments and tests for children in all classess from Nursery – Primary which are sat by the children and in the end they are awarded report cards for their particular scores.
